The Lost Soles

More than 50 members of L'Arche Atlantic Region participated in this weekend's Bluenose International Marathon in Halifax, NS.

Our team, The Lost Soles, was made up of people from all five communities in the Region, and entered runners, walkers, and wheelers in the 5K, 10K and the half marathon.  Our bright yellow shirts were emblazoned with our team slogan, "We may be lost...but we're making good time."

The day was damp and drizzly, but our spirits couldn't be dimmed and there were many smiliing faces at the start and the finish line. Machelle's triumphant cries of "I did it!" and the satisfaction on Brian's face as he finished a 10K run were truly an inspiration. We returned home exhausted and ecstatic and already looking forward to next year!
