L'Arche Cape Breton Springfest Available on Youtube

L'Arche Cape Breton continued its performing arts tradition with the three-act show One Voice, which we played to packed houses in Judique and Sydney this past week.

More than just a fundraiser, this second annual Springfest was an effort to share a taste of our community life with the general public.

The middle act was a live show starring Joan MacDonald as the Lone Builder, a lonely woman who sets out to heal her heart by building a home. Along the way, strangers bring impractical but necessary gifts like prayer, love, grieving, fun, joy, and celebration.

For the first and third acts we used mostly video, which gives us the opportunity to share with our audience not just the members of our community who are capable of practicing and delivering a reliable show. The first video provided scenes and discussion about welcome, and shared something of the diversity of our community. The other video is a performance of the beautiful song One Voice, by Ruth Moody of the Wailin' Jennies (www.wailinjennies.com). You can watch all three acts on our new youtube channel (www.youtube.com/larchecapebreton).
