Does Down Syndrome need a cure?
Jenn Power
Posted 2009-11-27 23:35:19

A lively discussion is currently underway on the blog Contrarian in response to a recent Stanford University study about Down Syndrome.  The study, which involved injecting key neurotransmitters into the brains of rats, purports that we may be on our way towards a chemical treatment for the cognitive impairment that accompanies Down Syndrome.

Response to the posting of the study has been intense, thoughtful, and diverse.   You can read the study and the responses at contrarian.ca  You may decide to post your own reactions.
